One of the most important tasks of the Lithuanian Fund for Nature is the environmental education of society, especially that of its younger generation. The Fund aims to teach them the right approach toward the riches of Lithuanian nature as well as promote conservationist initiatives. In the years of 1995 2011, the Fund, in cooperation with other organizations, helped the Lithuanian youth to launch more than 70 projects relating to the protection of nature and its research. In the future, the Fund intends to expand its cooperation even further with the organizations conducting informal environmental education among the country’s youth.

For Lithuanian society, the Fund also organizes various events and educational trips promoting environmental protection. On a regular basis, it prepares and disseminates for free various publications that introduce its readership to Lithuanian biodiversity and the possibilities and methods of its protection and revival of its natural habitats.
