This multi - project was started in 1994 and is still in progress. Goal: to manage abandoned grasslands on Rusne island in order to make them more suitable for breeding and migratory birds; to manage breeding habitats of the Aquatic warbler on Rusne island and neighbouring areas; to encourage environmentally sound and sustainable agriculture; to promote ecological education among local people; to lease land for nature conservation and management; to develop ecological tourism.
